Hello. I hope you’ve had a great week and 4th of July. This past week was my one week of summer break and I’m happy to say I enjoyed it to the fullest. I spent a lot of time reading, sleeping, and eating, the ultimate trio for relaxation. I’m almost finished reading A Lion’s Tale by Chris Jericho and The Dichotomy of Leadership by Jocko Willink and Leif Babin. Both books are amazing! I’m learning a lot on how to lead and work with a team from the latter and I’m learning a lot about the hard work and dedication that goes into all levels of pro wrestling from the former.
Some of the things I’ve learned this past week are:
- Part of a leader’s job is to adapt as circumstances change to maximize the team’s chance of success
- There is a built-in setting that allows you to record your screen on iPhones
- The Burger Hale makes amazing mushroom and onion burgers
- Ensuring every member of a team holds themselves accountable is an important part of team efficiency and product quality
Thank you for taking the time to read this. I hope you have a great week!
Sincerely,
Mulan Lau
