Hello. I hope you’ve had a great week. It’s been an interesting week for me. I finished level 1 of Grant Abbitt’s Blender course for beginners and rendered a man and a monster on a foggy night (image below), brainstormed and researched several app ideas, and planned the feature list and created the discovery document for my final app idea. If everything goes well, in roughly two months I’ll have created a fully polished app for finding a tennis partner. Also, if you’re interested in 3D rendering or animation, check out Grant Abbitt’s website and youtube channel. He has some really awesome resources for all levels of Blender users. I for one am very proud of my foggy night render.
Some of the things I’ve learned this past week are:
- Instagram does not have an API that allows for posting to Instagram
- There are several apps on both the Google Play and Apple App store for finding a tennis partner, but most are outdated and or in need of fixing.
- Getting the principled volumetric and lighting bright enough, let alone without ruining the effect, is extremely difficult (for me at least)
- Never underestimate the frustration caused by excessive loading
Thank you for taking the time to read this. I hope you have a great week!
Sincerely,
Mulan Lau
