Hi. I hope you’ve had a wonderful week. This first week and a half of 2021 seems to have flown by! This past week has been a rather uneventful one. I did learn a bit more about web accessibility though. I also learned how to pull a Solar PV permit online and did a bit more coding in Kotlin. This week has also been filled with a bit of brainstorming for writing ideas and workflows.

Therefore, some of the writing tools I enjoy using are:

  • FocusWriter – a minimalist, distraction-free writing software that not only keeps you from looking at other windows while you’re supposed to be writing, but also has the option to make delightful little typewriter noises as you type
  • Word – a fully featured writing software that pretty much every PC user has
  • YouTube – specifically for listening to cello music while I write
  • Grammarly – a great freemium software that does grammar, spelling, and punctuation checks for you
  • OneNote – a super awesome note-taking software that makes digitally taking notes and brainstorming easy

Thank you for taking the time to read this. I hope you have a wonderful week!

Sincerely,

Mulan Lau

P.S. If you’re a writer (and even if you aren’t one), I challenge you to write something based on my theme of 2021, “growth”. I’m tired right now since I’m writing this at 1 in the morning, but this week, I’ll write something to the theme “growth” as well. I’d love to read what you write!
