Hello! I hope you’ve had a wonderful week! Did you have pie on pi day and wear green on St. Patrick’s day?

This past week has been an interesting combination of busy and relaxing. I’ve gone dancing lots and played with so many puppies, but I’ve also enjoyed sleeping in a bit and relaxing on the couch with my Blueberry. The highlight of my week so far has been practicing bachata while being surrounded by adorable puppies. What’s the highlight of your week?

Recently, I’ve noticed a commonly seen log message while working with Firebase is “Ignoring header X-Firebase-Locale because its value was null”. This log message is usually noticed when you’re trying to accomplish something with Firebase and not seeing any results or actual errors. It can be confusing since it’s not a very informative message, but the message itself is usually irrelevant to the problem. Every time I’ve encountered this issue, the actual source of the problem is something within your code. Perhaps a variable has a null or unexpected value, or perhaps you simply forgot to add an on failure listener to the Firebase object. Walking through each line of your code with the debugger and adding on failure listeners when this occurs can save you lots of time researching that particular log message.

I’ve been talking to friends about keeping track of personal finances a bit lately and I highly suggest checking out YNAB (You Need A Budget) if you haven’t already. I found out about it through Ramit Sethi’s book, I Will Teach You To Be Rich, and I’ve been using it for about a year now. It’s amazing! It definitely helps me keep track of my budget, daily spending, and savings. What do you use to track your personal finances?

I can’t believe that Scott Hall aka Razor Ramon died this week. He was an awesome wrestler.

“Hard work pays off, dreams come true. Bad times don’t last, but bad guys do.”

Scott Hall

Thank you for taking the time to read this. I hope you have a wonderful week!

Sincerely,

Mulan
