Hello. I hope you’ve had a great week. This past week I’ve created a small Kotlin app called Random Trivia, worked on my world, the World of Frosting, made a dream collage/vision board, and had my finger bruised by my puppy. I also spent a lovely Sunday yelling my head off at the tv aka watching WWE’s Tribute to the Troops and NXT War Games. That last War Games match was simply amazing, and they were all great matches. If you haven’t seen it already, you should definitely check out both. Tribute to the Troops was on FOX and War Games is on the WWE Network.
Some of the things I’ve learned this past week are:
- Kotlin makes it much easier to work directly with the UI than Java
- You don’t use semicolons in Kotlin (still feel like part of me is missing when I code like that)
- An Amphisbaena is a mythical creature that is serpent-like with two heads, one on either side
- Conspiring, even one-way conspiring, in Monopoly should be against the rules!!
Thank you for taking the time to read this. I hope you have a great week.
Sincerely,
Mulan Lau
P.S. Monopoly seems to look better in black & white, enjoy!
