Hello. I hope you’ve had a great week.

Parks are finally opening up here so long as you move around when you’re in them and I spent the afternoon with my puppy at the beach. This past week also marked the end of my Java 2 class. My next class starts today (Monday) and looks really interesting so far. It’s the 5th project and portfolio class in my degree program. The main goal of the class is to create an app for a wearable device. I’m really excited. I’ve also started a Project Management Fundamentals class on LinkedIn Learning.

Some of the things I’ve learned this week are:

  • (Android) you can use interfaces to communicate between web view content (HTML, JS, etc) and your Android code
  • A project has a specific and unique goal and a definite end
  • It’s important to reflect on a project and evaluate what went right and what could be improved upon after each project

Also, if you’re an artist or any sort of creator, May is Mermaid (MerMay) month.

Thank you for reading this. I’d love to hear about what you’re currently working on.

Sincerely,

Mulan Lau
