Hello. I hope you’ve had a great week. My weeks seem to be getting busier and busier! This past week I finished up my class project for my Project and Portfolio 5 class which just ended, created a pdf on how to use the project proposal template I created for Darakin Studios, coded/debugged a ton, drew some mermaids, watched a short but awesome LinkedIn course on leadership communication, recorded an app demo and post mortem for the class project app, and revamped my portfolio website and blog. I also made a new logo for my portfolio and blog.

Some of the things I’ve learned this week are:

  • Android Auto is phone-based while Android Automotive OS is built into the car
  • Providing a because makes people more likely to agree
  • WearOS does not support Firebase Authentication because it doesn’t have Google Play Services
  • GraphView’s scrollable feature doesn’t work when using dates as labels

The last two things I listed above were learned through hours of trial and error and countless more hours spent researching everything I could possibly think of related to the issues I was encountering. Long story short, I do not want to develop wearable apps again in a hurry.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. I hope you have a great week.

Sincerely,

Mulan Lau

P.S. Check out my new logo below and here’s a mermaid to make Monday fun.
