Hello. I hope you’ve had a great week. I can’t believe this will be the last week of February. Time is flying!

This past week I continued to learn more about developing Android apps and have started working with async threads, JSON, and APIs in Java, remade my resume, read about leadership styles, and added a portfolio page to my blog. I also got to talk to a current industry professional in construction management. This was a great experience and I learned a lot about just how gigantic the area of project management truly is. Rounding out the week nicely, I stopped by the Mililani carnival with my sister and spent the evening watching all different kinds of racing on Red Bull’s YouTube channel. Also, please check out my latest writing short, The Place, which is up on my blog.

Some things I learned this past week are:

  • You need to enable the internet user permission in the Android App Manifest to access network resources
  • Silhouette sketches are the best time to experiment and make tweaks
  • Every scene (writing in this context) should have/answer a question
  • The Red Bull Romaniacs race was AMAZING

Thank you for taking the time to read this. I hope you have a great week!

Sincerely,

Mulan Lau
